The Woodlands Park Hotel, is one of the handpicked hotels. A stunning Victorian hotel with wood paneling, high ceilings and a chandelier in an enormous lobby. It set the scene for what would be a very fabulous wedding.
When I arrived at 10 am, Emily was in her enormous suite with her two bridesmaids and mother (in rollers). They set about preparing. Towards the end of this time, things were hectic with mother still in her rollers while dressing the bride. All came together and Bernard, the Nigerian Groom ... waiting nervously with his lovely Best man, as she walked down the aisle in a red a white themed room.
Giggling their way through their vows, the sun shone and allowed us out into the courtyard where the guests enjoyed the most succulent canapes I've ever tasted! What was strange (and lovely) about this drinks reception is that the Nigerian visitors all wanted lots of fun group shots, so wherever I went, they beckoned and I photographed.
The Groom's speech left many teary eyed, whereas the Best man's speech had the same effect but from laughing. When I left at 10 pm, the floor was filled and hands were in the air.
