Upwaltham Barns is a delightful trip barned paddock, which has high hills either side. One side of the barns, once trekked up, gives great views of the barns.
The staff are amazing. Nothing was too much. Sometimes at venues, when they have been doing it perhaps a little too long, you can tell the staff are irritated with requests. But Nickie and her staff could not do enough.
I loved that they were still laughing and making jokes with the couple. Watching their marriage was another thing I found interesting. After a few years in business, they staff watched the couple take their vow.
A lovely place with great staff.
This couple Stuart and Lorraine met at work while Lorraine was training Stuart in the art of plane guiding. They soon fell in love and their theme of scrabble came about with their love of the game. A scrabble themed wedding gave them plenty of scope for new ideas, including a JUST MARRIED sign, cake with their names and scrabble boards everywhere.
Lorraine's sister played the harp (just learned last year!) and Lorraine came into Raiders March from Indiana Jones . What fun. Loved this couple and their wedding.

Wedding Photographer for Goodwood Hotel - Ali Gaudion - A hot one!
Rachel and Tony were married in the Summer last year at The Goodwood Hotel (the Marriott) near the estate. I've never seen a bride rush down the aisle as quickly as I did Rachel.
Before we arrived, lots of little girls came in their dresses and all the guests had drinks in the garden next to the ceremony room, which was light. It was a boiling hot day and the windows were open. The violinist and cellist were playing as Rachel whizzed down the aisle.
Throughout the day, their niece made a hilarious movie to Dancing Queen by ABBA whereby, all the guests had a part singing over the song and making a video at the same time. What a great day - they had drinks on the lawn and a vintage kart ride up to the house. Take a look at their day.
Thanks Rachel and Tony for letting me share your day.

Weddings at Hickstead Hotel - fireworks and deckchairs ... relaxed country weddings - chichester photographer
These are my two favourite shots from Hickstead Hotel Wedding last weekend. It was in the middle of the boiling hot weather. I pulled up two deckchairs for the couple to relax. They were over there for ten minutes! And his surprise for her with the fireworks was so lovely.
